Here's some homework....to actually enjoy!
Hi all,
Hope this soggy Sunday finds you all well, despite the weather. Follow the link, and watch the episode tonight, if at all possible. If you haven't seen any of Ken Burns' films before, you're in for a treat! Channel listings are contained within the link: http://www.pbs.org/nationalparks/

A problem getting on to the blog, perhaps?
I've just double-checked the settings; perhaps that accounts for the dilemma with the homework posting. Try again, if you couldn't get on before!
See you tomorrow!

No Homework Posts?
Hi all,
I'm wondering why no one has posted his/her homework....Please do post it, though full credit will not be available as the deadline has passed....

What's coming this week
Hi all,
I wanted to get this posted yesterday, but somebody brought a nasty germ to class last week, and I spent most of the day with Kleenex and chicken soup! Hope you're all well and enjoying the great weather!
This week, we'll finish up our look at The Catcher in the Rye, and then begin a brief project called "This I Believe About Being American". Check out the original National Public Radio site to get an idea of what's coming up; here's the link:

Ground Rules and Safety
Hi all,
Please be sure to adhere to the following:
1. Use ONLY your first name and the first initial of your LAST name when you post to the blog; there are some nasty, dangerous people out there, and I don't want ANYONE getting endangered, harassed, or otherwise troubled.
2. Since this is a public, shared space whose purpose is mutual learning, ONLY post those comments that are grammatically correct, properly spelled, clear, cogent and appropriate. "Nonsense" of any kind is not welcome here.
Thank you for being patient with all the start of the year craziness and tedium of such things as picture taking announcements, and reading assessments, etc. The real fun of learning IS coming!
