A problem getting on to the blog, perhaps?

I've just double-checked the settings; perhaps that accounts for the dilemma with the homework posting. Try again, if you couldn't get on before!

See you tomorrow!

Are people basically good? I believe that people are basically good, but dont think that it will last that long. This is because people used to go out of there way to help people. The trend of helping people has gone away in my opinion.

  2. I think today not many puritan beliefs are valued as much as back in the 1700s. People stil often value others who work hard to get where they are at. The value of education is a puritan value that is still very important in america today. Hard work was very important to the puritans and hard work is still very important today. I think rationalism is showing up more and more in the world today. I velieve that one of the reasons religion exists is vecause its an easy way out to explain anything. Religion can say because god made it that way. Things that people arent shure about always are explained by the religion they practice.

  3. I think that in today's society there is still some evidence of puritan and rationalist world views. I think that for some people like the Puritans, religion is a big part of their life. But what is different is that in the US we have religious freedom and we are allowed to choose to believe in whatever we want. No one can be prosecuted for their beliefs anymore. Also, the belief of rationalism and arriving at the truth by using reason is still in play today. I think that a lot of people use reason to come to a conclusion such as science instead of relying on other things. I also think that some people find their answers through religion while others find them trhough science.
